Knoxville Girl Scouts raft the Ocoee River

As a principal, I really enjoyed the summer staff team-building events. One of my favorites was a tubing adventure in Townsend that really required a lot of cooperation and team support, because most of us had never been tubing so it required us helping each other out of many unexpected predicaments. We considered upping our game to rafting instead of tubing, but never quite got the nerve to make the move.

Not so with a group of Girl Scouts from Knoxville.

The group of Knoxville Tan Vest Girl Scouts and volunteers recently went on a whitewater rafting trip on the Ocoee River, quite a bit different than our tubing in Townsend adventure. The girls’ trip covered 5.5 miles, and they spent about two hours enjoying the river rapids! Facebook Story

You can see from the shared photos that everyone had a great time and got drenched!

All of us have a story and I want to tell yours! Send them to susan@knoxtntoday.com
