The Girl Scouts of Southern Appalachians will host Jennifer Pharr Davis on Tuesday, April 5, at the Knoxville Museum of Art. Pharr Davis is an internationally recognized adventurer, long-distance hiker, speaker, author and entrepreneur who has hiked more than 14,000 miles of trails on six different continents.

Pharr Davis was named National Geographic’s 2012 Adventurer of the Year and is the 2022 honorary GSCSA “Reach for the Peaks” hiker. She will join the Girl Scouts for a dinner and speaking engagement as part of the second-annual “Reach for the Peaks” fundraiser. The independent hike event encouraged Girl Scout troops, their families, former Girl Scouts, supporters, and the public to hike 3.12 miles as part of the 110th anniversary of the founding of Girl Scouts.

Lucy Branam is creative manager for Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians.
