Come on over to Christ United Methodist Church from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 14, for a party. It’s free and open to the public. The church is at 7535 Maynardville Pike in Halls.
There will be a lot going on. But the main event will be recognition for hometown heroes – people such as a firefighter, police officer, nurse, doctor, soldier or teacher. Several of them will be competing for best barbecue. The party will feature live music, inflatables, activities and a free BBQ lunch.
No pre-registration for lunch is necessary, but those attending will be asked for contact information at the event.
