Our mission at Hillcrest Healthcare is to provide excellent and compassionate care, and four employees have been honored for embodying that mission every day.

The four exemplary employees are:

  • Ruth Giacometti, Business Office Manager of the Year
  • Jerry Hensley, Employee of the Year
  • Abdoulie Jallow, Employee of the Year
  • Susette Williamson, Administrator of the Year

The 2019 Grace Healthcare Awards evaluated nominations from more than 20 facilities in seven states. Grace Healthcare Support Services, Hillcrest’s management company, provides managerial oversight and support for healthcare facilities across the United States.

“All four of these employees exemplify what it means to serve with excellence and make the well-being of their coworkers and our patients the top priority every day,” said Barry Davis, CEO of Hillcrest Healthcare. “Ruth’s attitude and approach set the tone in our business office, Jerry went from an entry-level employee to a valued leader at Hillcrest, Abdoulie’s work ethic is unmatched, and Susette’s accomplishments are unparalleled. We appreciate and celebrate these employees, and the Grace Healthcare Awards recognition is very well deserved.”

Giacometti joined Hillcrest Healthcare as business office manager of Beverly Park Place in 2018. She handles all invoicing, approvals and billing and immediately made a measurable difference in the accounting efficiency of the facility.

Hensley began his 41-year career at Hillcrest Healthcare as a washer operator in 1978. He now manages linen services at all Hillcrest locations, and for over three years has not had any turnover or overtime in his department.

Jallow, a CNA, has spent 12 years at West Hills Health and Rehabilitation without ever calling in sick to miss work. He supports both his household in Knoxville and his family in Africa. Residents request him, and their families send letters to the West Hills facility about Jallow’s compassion.

Williamson, who has been at Beverly Park Place for nearly 35 years, is the award-winning facility’s administrator. Previously, she has served as a licensed practical nurse, registered nurse, care plan coordinator, director of nursing and assistant administrator. She has made the overall facility better because of her ability to identify talent and effectively work to promote, train and mentor employees.

Hillcrest Healthcare operates three skilled nursing, rehabilitation and long-term care facilities in Knoxville with 560 beds and more than 500 employees in the north, south and west communities.
