It’s an egg hunt as epic as the Mesozoic era!
Zoo Knoxville’s Big Egg Hunt is back and this year it features life-like animatronic dinosaurs. The zoo is hosting two egg hunt dates; Saturday, April 1, exclusively for Zoo Knoxville members, and Saturday, April 8, which is open to everyone. Designed for preschool and elementary-aged children, the Big Egg Hunt is for kids ages 6 and under.
Thousands of eggs will be hidden along the pathways and the lucky hunters who finds the golden eggs will win one of the grand prizes of food and beverages or a Zoo Knoxville membership. To ensure a successful hunt for participants, there will be two egg hunt areas for designated ages; one for ages 0-3 and one for ages 4-6.

All ticketed children will receive a keepsake plush animal when they return their eggs for recycling and Soaky Mountain Waterpark will offer each participating child one free ticket to Soaky Mountain which can be redeemed from June 1-30, 2023.
Guests are asked to bring their own baskets, please. To ensure our guests have a great experience, tickets are limited.
Tickets to participate in the Big Egg Hunt are required for zoo members and the public and must be purchased online in advance at zooknoxville.org. Gates open at 7:30 a.m. on both dates and The Big Egg Hunt starts promptly at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 9 a.m. Please plan your arrival accordingly. Events will take place rain or shine.
Tickets for the exclusive Zoo Member egg hunt on April 1 are $15 for participating children ages 0-6, with free admission for non-participating member children ages 7 and up and member adults. Public tickets for the April 8 egg hunt are $24.95 for children ages 0-12 and $26.95 for adults and include admission to the zoo for the day. Zoo member pricing will be honored for the April 8 date, but advanced purchase is required.
