Yes, Karns has a cave, a series of caverns actually, where the temperature stays 58 degrees year-round and mineral formations are plentiful. It’s not open often, but this month the support team is offering Christmas in July on Saturday, July 15, with all-day showings of Dr. Suess’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
Bring the family for the movie and appearances by the Cave grinch! There are multiple showtimes to choose from as well as concessions and a tour of the cave. Tickets are $12 per person and you can purchase them online at www.cherokeecaverns.com. Parking is free. Historic Cherokee Caverns is located at 8524 Oak Ridge Highway in the Karns community.
