CAK seniors sign for college sports

Christian Academy of Knoxville had four student athletes sign to play at the collegiate level on May 1.

Eva Toler will play soccer at Tennessee Technological University. High school honors include 2018 All PrepXtra, 2018 District Offensive Player of the Year, 2016-2018 All-District, 2016 and 2018 All-State, 2016 All-Region, 2016 All-KIL.

Sam Klauer will play soccer at California Institute of Technology. At CAK, he was soccer team captain in 2019 and a varsity letterman for four years. He scored the go-ahead goal for the 2016 soccer state championship team. He was 2018 All-District and won the 2017 Dedicated Award and 2018 Leadership Award. He played four years with FC Alliance and seven years with Liberty FC.

Eli Wilder will play baseball at Asbury University. At CAK, he played on the 2017 and 2018 state championship teams; he played in the 2018 and 2019 Florida High School Invitational (FHSI) where he was on the All-Tournament team as a pitcher.

Cole McDaniel will play tennis at Berry College. He was a four-year varsity starter at CAK, when the team won the 2017 state championship and finished 2016 as state runner-up. The 2018 team took fourth place at the state. McDaniel was 2017 Individual Singles regional runnerup and 2018 Individual Singles regional fourth place.
