- Alanna McKissack is the new executive director of Keep Knoxville Beautiful, effective Jan. 2. She rejoins the organization where she served as an AmeriCorps member and program coordinator in 2015. Most recently, McKissack was executive director of Keep Blount Beautiful.
- Food City and Dietz & Watson will present spiral-cut hams and a $100 gift card to five families of first responders or military personnel who need assistance. Winners were selected from those nominated by listeners of WJXB-FM. The presentations will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, at the Food City at 284 Morrell Road.
