Tranzonic hires director of environmental health and safety

LaTina Wilkins is the director of environmental health and safety for Tranzonic Companies, based at the national manufacturing firm’s Hardin Valley location.

Wilkins is responsible for creating and coordinating programs that reduce accidents, injuries and losses at the company’s Knoxville locations and for facilities in California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Ohio and Nevada.

“LaTina has a passion for safety and is a champion of teaching processes and procedures that ensure the safety of our team members,” said Brian Rhoades, executive vice president of operations for Tranzonic. “Skilled at both identifying risks and creating sound solutions, she’s a great fit and we welcome her to the Tranzonic team.”

Wilkins earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental health science and safety from Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina, and two master’s degrees from the University of Oklahoma in industrial hygiene and environmental and safety management. She has more than 20 years of experience in the field, and most recently served as senior environmental health and safety consultant for Safe Job Solutions in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Wilkins resides in Lenoir City, Tennessee.
