Knoxville’s Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Commission held its Leadership Awards Luncheon on Thursday, and a KCS educator was among the honorees.
Tammi Campbell, the principal of Austin-East Magnet High, received the Commission’s Education Award, in recognition of her work on behalf of schools and students. Campbell previously served as the KCS ombudsman – the first person hired in that role – and has also been an assistant principal, counselor and Project GRAD facilitator.
Congratulations, Ms. Campbell!
