December 3: Powell Christmas Parade, hosted by the Powell Lions Club, is Saturday, Dec. 3, at 5 p.m., stepping off from Powell Middle School and marching on Emory Road to Brickyard Road. December 4: Gibbs Christmas Parade, sponsored by the Gibbs Ruritan Club, will be held Sunday, Dec. 4, at 2:30 p.m. The parade procession will begin at the entrance to Gibbs High School and end at the parking lot of Clear Springs Baptist Church.
December 10: Halls Christmas Parade, sponsored by the Halls BPA, is Saturday, Dec. 10, stepping off at 6 p.m. from Halls High School. The school asks that no one show up before 4 p.m. because of scheduled activities. The parade will travel south down Maynardville Highway to Crippen Road, ending at the U-Haul parking lot. Halls Christmas Gala is Friday, Dec. 2, at Beaver Brook Country Club, with speaker Judge Chuck Cerny. Dinner and program begin at 7 p.m. Reservations are closed.
