Joseph Moody, a courtesy clerk at the Powell Food City, competed in the bagging competition at this year’s Tennessee Grocers Association convention held at the Knoxville Convention Center in June. He advanced by winning the Knoxville bagging competition.

Moody graduated from Powell High School and plans to attend Pellissippi State Community College for the fall semester. He’s worked at Food City just one week shy of three years. He won $100 in the bagging contest.

He says he’s working as a cashier at the Powell store now, but started as a bagger. He plans to major in business management and calls his current job “a great opportunity.”
