Following a successful fund-raising golf tournament, the Halls Crossroads Women’s League has donated $11,500 to three community schools: Adrian Burnett Elementary, Halls Middle and Halls High. The three schools serve a student population of about 2,700 boys and girls.

Some 1,000 students who attend Halls Middle School and approximately 1,200 Halls High School students will benefit from a $5,500 donation to go toward the purchase of new stage curtains at the middle school auditorium. The facility is used by both the middle and high schools for performances and community events. In addition, the Halls High School choral department received a $2,000 donation.

Susan Smith, president of the Women’s League, presented $4,000 to Adrian Burnett Elementary School. The money will benefit approximately 560 students in grades K-5.  The league is also working with school staff to assist with student clothing needs through the league-sponsored community clothing closet.
