The Halls Crossroads Women’s League is staying busy this fall.

Friday, Oct. 20, at 2 p.m., the Women’s League will dedicate a swing in Clayton Park in memory of the late Virginia Sharp. The swing was placed through donations from the Women’s League.

On Saturday, Oct. 21, the Women’s League will host a community-wide litter clean-up in Halls. All are welcome to participate, and volunteers should meet at the Women’s League clothes closet on the corner of Cunningham Road and Maynardville Highway at 10 a.m.

At 1 p.m. the same day, the Women’s League will go to Clayton Park to plant jonquil bulbs for spring. Anyone who would like to participate should bring their own digging instrument. Donations of jonquil bulbs would also be appreciated.

The Women’s League will also transport Halls veterans to the Knoxville Veterans Day Parade, followed by a lunch at Salem Baptist Church. And be sure to mark your calendars for the Women’s League’s Christmas Home Tour Dec. 9.
