A group of jolly, festive souls came together Dec. 8, to bring some holiday cheer to Fountain City Park. The Fountain City Lions Club and Fountain City Town Hall teamed up for a Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the park’s gazebo. The groups served cookies and hot chocolate, while Central High School Band and Bobcat Company and the Fountain City Presbyterian Church Melody Makers provided music.
Right on cue, there was a sprinkling of snow to make the event even more festive. As the gathering sang “Silent Night,” the tree was lit and Santa Claus made his appearance! We hope you’ll enjoy this video and photos from the event.
