Triple-threat festival in Cumberland Gap

If you don’t have tickets to the game, head off to Cumberland Gap where townsfolk will host three festivals on Saturday, September 24.

The Mountain Fiesta – 10 hours of music and dance celebrating Latin and Appalachian culture in this fifth annual event, led by Spanish teacher Zachary Greene and students from the J. Frank White Academy. 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Local and international entertainers. Info here.

Antique, Arts and Crafts – Rain or shine, spring and fall. More than 30 vendors will line Colwyn and Lynn Avenues from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and local shops will remain open until 5 p.m. Info here.

Harvest Moon Festival – Presented by the Cumberland Gap Artists’ Co-op from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival will feature the popular Nine Lakes Wine Company from Tazewell, Tennessee. In addition to the wine, the day promises to be filled with the works of our many tri-state area artists and artisans, vendors with a wide range of products, food and drink to tempt anyone while music sails around us.
