A physician board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology has joined the team at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center.
Shelly Lewis, MD, FACOG, has joined the OBGYN team at Fort Sanders Women’s Specialists, bringing expert medical care to women in the Knoxville community. The practice has two locations and is affiliated with Covenant Health.
Dr. Lewis says: “I strive to provide evidence-based care for women throughout all stages of life. I enjoy connecting with and empowering patients to manage their healthcare. My experience as a mother and female physician helps me to navigate the challenges my patients face.”

Dr. Lewis attended medical school at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. She did her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.
