Shannon Sapp chairs division of AGC

Shannon Sapp, president of Merit Construction Inc. in Knoxville, has been elected chair of the Building Division of the Associated General Contractors of America at its annual convention in Grapevine, Texas.

Sapp also chaired the Knoxville Branch of the AGC of Tennessee in 2012-2013 and currently serves on the board of directors.

He lives in Knoxville with his wife, Karen. They have two college-age sons, Collin and Parker. The family attends Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church.
