The Trust Company of Tennessee has hired John Samuel “Sam” Springer Jr. as a client specialist, based in the firm’s Knoxville office.
“Sam’s background and passion for advising will help position clients for sustained and future success as he works to help them reach their personal financial goals,” said Daniel Carter, president of The Trust Company of Tennessee.
Springer earned both a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) with a tax concentration from the University of Tennessee, where he also pitched for the Vols baseball team. He has completed all four parts of the Uniform CPA Examination.
He previously worked as a financial controller for Volunteer Pharmacy, where he restructured the financial and operational functions, creating opportunities for accurate budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
Springer volunteers as a baseball coach at West High School and enjoys golfing, spending time outdoors and trying new restaurants with his wife, Alyssa.
Founded in 1987 by Sharon J. Pryse, The Trust Company of Tennessee is a state-chartered trust company with more than $4.5 billion under management and more than 85 employees. Based in Knoxville, the firm also has offices in Chattanooga and the Tri-Cities.
