You could feel fall in the air, and it was a perfect night for football in East Tennessee when the West Rebels hosted the Farragut Admirals Sept. 21. The Admirals were coming in undefeated, and the Rebel Nation was looking to end their five-game winning streak. The first quarter was slow, but by the end of the half the Admirals were up 7-6.

During halftime both teams’ marching bands lit up the crowd. The West Rebel Marching Band played “Rise Up: Viva La Revolution” under the command of drum majors Sam Glover and Mick Rash. The Farragut High School Marching Admirals entertained with their show “Arctic Lights” under the direction of Kenneth Carrico and Elizabeth Goff, and field command of Leah Alsobrooks, Sierra Dietrich, Terence Osario and Conner Taylor. Both shows got the crowd on their feet.

West had the ball to start the second half, but they weren’t able to get past the Farragut defense. The Rebels played hard, but in the end it was the Admirals that came away with the win 21-6 to remain undefeated.
