Norwood United Methodist Church started the church’s annual pumpkin patch this year on Oct. 13, and it will continue through Oct. 31. The church has held the pumpkin patch for more than 15 years. The proceeds always go to charity, with this year’s proceeds benefiting UMCOR hurricane relief and Wesley House Community Center.

The pumpkins available are all shapes and sizes, ranging in price from 50 cents to $30 dollars. The locals know, however, that the pumpkin patch has more to offer than just pumpkins! From the moment they opened, people were lining up for their famous homemade pumpkin bread. They’ve used the same recipe for more than 15 years, and this year they’re adding apple butter to the lineup, with the baked goods proceeds going back to the church. The patch is open daily from noon until 7 p.m. Bring the family out and have some fall fun.
