Parade is Monday in Maynardville

Union County Mayor Jason Bailey says, It’s time for a parade.

Everyone is invited to the Patriot Parade honoring the Union County High School baseball and track & field teams on their state championships.

The parade is Monday, June 5, at 6:30 p.m. It steps off from the UCHS baseball field and will travel north on Maynardville Highway, turn at Maynardville Elementary School and travel South on Main Street back to the UCHS baseball field.

Bailey wants residents to line the streets in red, white and blue to congratulate both teams. “You just can’t hide that Union County Pride.”

A meet-and-greet with players and coaches will be held at Wilson Park immediately after the parade.

Callie Wetzel sweeps the 100m and 300m hurdles and goes undefeated this season! Alden Wetzel takes 1st in boys 200m, 2nd in the 400m, and 3rd in the 100m. A total of THREE state titles are headed back to Union County!!!
