Networking meeting at FCBPA

An unavoidable speaker cancelation led Fountain City Business and Professional Association to roll with the punches Feb. 14, and offer a meeting full of networking instead.

Attendees participated in a high-speed getting-to-know-you session. But first, FCBPA leadership talked upcoming events and introduced candidates for office.

Regina Reed will chair the Fountain City Easter Egg Hunt this year, set for Saturday, March 24, at Fountain City Park. Volunteers are needed, and booth spaces are available. Folks are welcome to use booth space to promote their businesses or candidates for office, but they must have an activity for kids, too. Cost for booth space is $15.

Also needed are prize sponsors. The FCBPA gives away two bicycles per age group at the egg hunt, and the group asks for help from sponsors to provide the bikes.

“If you have never been to the Easter egg hunt before, you’ve missed something,” said Beth Wade. “I’ll never forget my first Easter egg hunt. All the kids lined up, and Regina blows the whistle and within 30 seconds the eggs are gone. It’s the most amazing magic trick you’ve ever seen in your life.”
