Nathan Lynn gets top job at Halls Elementary

Nathan Lynn has been appointed principal of Halls Elementary School effective July 2021. He replaces principal Jamey Romig, who is the new principal at Karns Elementary. Romig was named principal in 2019.

Lynn joined Knox County Schools in 2008 as a physical education teacher serving Corryton, Rocky Hill and Brickey-McCloud elementary schools.

He also has worked as a lead teacher at Corryton, a districtwide professional development specialist and an administrative assistant at Bearden High School. He was part of the Leadership Academy in 2016 and placed at Brickey-McCloud as an assistant principal. He also served as assistant principal at Bearden Elementary and Halls Elementary, where he currently serves.

Lynn holds a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s in educational leadership, both from Carson-Newman University, as well as an education specialist degree in administration and supervision from the University of Tennessee.
