Knox County Schools will offer in-person summer learning opportunities for eligible students beginning on June 1.

The Elementary Summer Learning Camp is a 6-week program that will begin on June 1 and will run through July 9.

The Middle School Summer Bridge Camp is a 4-week program that will begin on June 1 and will run through June 28.

Both programs were made possible by the Tennessee Learning Loss Remediation and Student Acceleration Act, which was approved by the Tennessee General Assembly in January, and is designed to support students whose learning was interrupted by Covid-19. As part of this initiative, Tennessee school districts are required to offer learning loss remediation programs for eligible students during the summer of 2021.

KCS will also continue offering its Summer Credit Recovery program for high school students.
