Justin Bailey, CEO of Realty Executive Associates, was named 2021 Realtor of the Year at the annual meeting of the Knoxville Area Association of Realtors on Feb. 23. The award was presented by Laura Slyman, the 2020 winner.
In his acceptance speech, Bailey said, “My great grandmother was a Realtor, my grandfather and both my parents were Realtors. I literally don’t know how to do anything else.”
This year’s meeting was live and in person, celebrated by Lyle Irish, KAAR CEO. “It is so nice to see everybody again!”
Shannon Foster-Boline, the outgoing 2021 KAAR president, presented awards to Lynn Sullivan and Hancen Sale.
Amanda Stone of LeConte Realty received the 2021 Managing Broker of the Year award by the 2020 winner, Pat McGill.
Josh McKinny, real estate industry advisor for the Tennessee Housing Development Agency, received the 2021 Affiliate of the Year award.
100 Realtors Who Care received the 2021 Good Neighbor award for the impact the organization has had on the community.
Speakers were Kari Autry, vice president of product for FBS, who gave information about industry tools Flexmls, Spark and FloPlan, and Kory Epperson, national account manager for Supra/BrokerBay. He gave information about the new BrokerBay showing service that association members will have access to in the coming months. BrokerBay is expected to be a game changer for KAAR members.
The installation of the 2022 officers and board of directors followed, and the 2022 KAAR president, Marian Epps, was sworn in by Tennova Healthcare CEO Tony Benton. Enjoy these meeting photos:
