Rysewyk announces transition team

Incoming Knox County Schools Superintendent Jon Rysewyk Ph.D. has formed a transition team comprised of educators, parents and community leaders. The transition team will work with Rysewyk over the coming weeks to offer input and counsel as Knox County Schools prepares for the June 4 leadership transition.

“As we build a vision for the future, this group of leaders will be instrumental in helping our team serve Knox County students with excellence,” Rysewyk said. “I’m grateful to each leader who has agreed to serve.”

The transition team will meet several times prior to June and assist Rysewyk in developing ideas in key areas, including literacy, career and technical education, teacher recruitment, and providing innovative supports for all students.
