Briana Hinton has been appointed director of employee relations for Knox County Schools.
Hinton, an attorney, has experience in risk mitigation and employment discrimination. Her experience includes various organizations such as the Women’s Legal Centre in South Africa, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Washington, D.C., Sallie Mae Bank in Delaware, and the Superior Court of New Jersey/Atlantic County Civil Court in New Jersey. She also served as RFP coordinator for TransLoc Inc. in Raleigh. She joined Knox County Schools in May 2021 as Title IX coordinator/compliance officer.
Hinton holds a bachelor’s degree in history from North Carolina Central University, a paralegal certification from Duke University Continuing Studies and a Doctor of Law degree from Howard University School of Law.
