Hike supports Knox County Schools

Haley GuidryFeature, West Knoxville

It was a beautiful day in Knoxville for a hike Sept. 29, as Knox County Schools and Partners in Education held the second Hike for Schools event. This three-mile round trip hike took place on Third Creek Greenway, beginning at West High School. Participants checked in and picked up their Hike for Schools T-shirts. Fifty percent of all registration fees and 10 percent from food vendor profits at the hike go back to help support Knox County Schools.

Bethany Dunn of the Knoxville Zoo lets hike participants meet one of the zoo’s inhabitants.
