Grab tickets now for Ramsey House festival

Jay FitzEast Knox, Our Town Arts

The Ancient Sounds Celtic & Appalachian Music Festival is the largest fundraiser for Historic Ramsey House (HRH), happening September 2-3. All proceeds from this event go directly to the ongoing preservation of Historic Ramsey House, one of Knox County’s oldest landmarks.

“Dinner in the Fork” on Friday, September 2, will kick off Labor Day weekend with a fun, end-of-summer dinner. Enjoy an evening on the grounds of HRH featuring a Sweet P’s BBQ dinner, drink of your choice, and two hours of music featuring The New Johns Creek Grass and Four Leaf Peat.

Throughout the next fiscal year, HRH aims to complete several projects including a new permanent community exhibit called Born of Water and Stone, the Virginia Nicely sidewalk, and the reopening of a room in the historic home dedicated to interpreting stories of the enslaved. Community support will enable HRH to continue to serve as a pillar of history for the Knoxville and East Tennessee communities.
