Forum scheduled for superintendent search

Tammy Grissom, executive director of the Tennessee School Boards Association, will lead a series of stakeholder forums to solicit feedback about the search process and the next superintendent of Knox County Schools on Thursday, Dec. 2.

In September, Superintendent Bob Thomas announced his intention to step down on June 30, 2022. The Knox County Board of Education will hire a new superintendent, and a key part of their search process is giving KCS stakeholders an opportunity to provide feedback.

To provide everyone with an opportunity to be heard, a series of one-hour meetings have been scheduled in the boardroom on the first floor of the Andrew Johnson Building, 912 S. Gay Street. Please note that these are suggested times and interested individuals may go to any of the meetings. The luncheon is for invited guests; however, the public is welcome to attend.
