The Beaver Creek Kayak Club put some 400 watercraft in the creek at the sixth annual Flotilla presented by FirstBank on May 20. The good news is, you will find more than 400 pictures on the club’s Facebook page here or the Float the Beaver page here.
My favorite photo is above. It recognizes the efforts of the guy who has done the most to make the Beaver Creek watertrail happen. Charlie Austin is president of the Beaver Creek Kayak Club, and Knox County Commission voted to name the accessible ramp at the Roy Arthur Stormwater Park on Harrill Road, Charlie’s Launch.
