Fine arts sale is Saturday

Jay FitzOur Town Arts, West Knoxville

Artsclamation! is a fine arts sale that benefits the patients and families of Peninsula, the behavioral health division of Parkwest Medical Center. This public art sale will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, December 4, at Sacred Heart Cathedral (711 S. Northshore Dr., Knoxville).

This drop-in event is free and open to the public. No tickets are required.

The fundraiser presents a variety of artworks ranging from paintings to pottery and jewelry to mixed media. Items will be for sale to the general public, showcasing the talents of dozens of regional artists.

Guests can also visit the virtual store through December 6, 2021. A secure e-commerce site has been created for online art sales.

This year’s featured artist is Larry Cole, a Knoxville-based artist and patron favorite from previous Artsclamation! sales. His oils on canvas and wood panels are colorful expressions of the emotion, mystery and intrigue he finds in his subjects. His works can be seen in private and corporate collections around Knoxville and across the Southeast.

Funds generated through the 2021 Artsclamation! fine art sale will support behavioral services at both Peninsula Hospital and outpatient centers. Past event proceeds have provided transportation vans to help individuals with access to outpatient services and support groups, outdoor respite gardens for hospital patients, medication assistance for patients at discharge, therapy games and books and much more.
