Former UT Vols and New York Jets quarterback Erik Ainge will give the keynote speech at the Halls Business and Professional Association’s annual Christmas Gala to be held Friday, Dec. 1, with fellowship starting at 6:30 p.m. and dinner and program starting at 7:15 p.m.

Ainge threw for more than 8,700 yards while at UT, 2004-2007, before being drafted by the Jets in 2008. He hosts a daily sports talk show on Tennessee Sports Radio. At the gala, Ainge will share stories from his years in football and his life today in Knoxville.

The HBPA is replacing the silent auction this year with a 12 Days of Christmas door prize drawing. The event is the HBPA’s major fundraiser, allowing the group to boost community projects and sponsor happenings like the Halls Christmas Parade.

Pricing for the gala is $60 per person. To reserve tickets or a table, contact Sue Walker at 865-925-9200 or email swalker@tindells.com.
