Won’t you nominate a neighbor?

Jay FitzOur Town Neighbors

The deadline to nominate your good neighbor(s) is fast approaching. If you have a neighbor who goes above and beyond to help individuals, your neighborhood or the community, please consider nominating this person for the Diana Conn Good Neighbor of the Year Award.

This award is presented annually to a Knoxville resident who — in a spirit of cooperation and with a commitment to inclusive community — has devoted time and talent in service to his or her neighbors and neighborhood. The award is meant to honor someone who makes a positive contribution at the neighborhood level without seeking recognition for their service.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, Jan. 21.

Nominees must reside within the city limits of Knoxville. Previous nominees may be nominated again. More than one nomination may be submitted for a single nominee.

The winner and all nominees will be honored at the annual Neighborhood Conference on Saturday, April 2. Nomination forms are posted on the Office of Neighborhood Empowerment’s website here. For more information, email Courtney Durrett at cdurrett@knoxvilletn.gov or call 865-215-3456.
