BOOFest is Saturday at Fountain City Park

Gather the family, put on some costumes and come on out Saturday, Oct. 30, for BOO-Fest at Fountain City Park. The event runs from 3-8 p.m. There will be food and craft vendors and trick or treating for the kids. Knox TN Today is sponsoring the evening’s concert, with local band Ducktown Mission taking the stage at 5 p.m. Be sure to bring your own chairs and a hefty bag for the candy haul. There is no admission fee. How do you beat that?

The event is a fund-raiser for the Fountain City Lions Club, and is organized by the club along with the Fountain City Business and Professional Association (see story here), Fountain City Forward (see story here) and Knox TN Today. Community news editor Beth Kinnane will be on hand with plenty of treats.

Local band Ducktown Mission will perform at BOO-Fest Oct. 30.

There is some rain in the forecast, but we’ll know by noon Saturday if BOOfest will go on. Saturday, Nov. 6, is the rain date in case of cancellation. So cross your fingers and do a sun dance, and come on out for some fun in Fountain City Park.
