John T. O’Connor II, 83, passed away Feb. 10 at his home. He was a longtime member and past president of the Knoxville Bar Association and served as the attorney for the Catholic Diocese of Knoxville for over 20 years. The family will receive friends from 6:45-8:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus with the funeral mass at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at the cathedral. Details here.

J. Wade Leach, 88, of Halls, passed away Feb. 9. He was well-known in North Knox and Union counties as the owner of service stations. He retired as owner of Leach Garage. The family will receive friends today (2/12) from 5-7 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home in Halls with funeral service to follow.  Details here.

Margaret L. Kerr, 85, of Heiskell, passed away Feb. 10. She owned and operated Crossroads Bookkeeping Service in Halls for many years and was active in the Halls Business and Professional Association, being recognized as Halls Woman of the Year. She taught Sunday School and was church pianist for over 50 years. Family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at Mynatt Funeral Home in Halls and 10-11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Fairview Freewill Baptist Church with service to follow at 11.
