John T. O’Connor II, 83, passed away Feb. 10 at his home. He was a longtime member and past president of the Knoxville Bar Association and served as the attorney for the Catholic Diocese of Knoxville for over 20 years. J. Wade Leach, 88, of Halls, passed away Feb. 9. He was well-known in North Knox and Union counties as the owner of service stations. He retired as owner of Leach Garage. Margaret L. Kerr, 85, of Heiskell, passed away Feb. 10. She owned and operated Crossroads Bookkeeping Service in Halls for many years and was active in the Halls Business and Professional Association, being recognized as Halls Woman of the Year. She taught Sunday School and was church pianist for over 50 years.
