For its 75th anniversary, Akima Club of Knoxville presents its 40th Akima Cabaret, titled “The Roaring Twenties – When Decades Collide,” at the Mill and Mine, located on West Depot Avenue near downtown Knoxville’s Old City, on February 18-19, 2022.

Attendees will enjoy professionally staged and scripted musical theatre and comedy while helping to continue the much-needed funding of many area non-profits. Cabaret sponsorship and ticket information are available at tickets@akimaclub.org.

Founded in 1947, The Akima Club’s over 140 active annual members and hundreds of sustaining and extension members are dedicated to enriching the Knoxville community. For 75 years, Akima members have consistently provided thousands of volunteer hours and tens of thousands of dollars in financial support to area non-profit agencies. Dr. Tricia Lee is this year’s president.

In the past two years, the Akima Grants program has awarded the record amount of $143,000 to assist 49 non-profits – $63,000 awarded in May 2020 and $83,000 in May 2021. These monies were raised through revenues from the 2020 Akima Cabaret, the club’s major fundraiser presented every other year. Info here.
