Knoxville Chamber is hosting Bah Humbug 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Holiday Inn, World’s Fair Park, 525 Henley St.

Powell BPA 35th annual Man, Woman and Business Person of the Year banquet is set for 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at Tennova North. Joan Cronan, former UT women’s athletics director and published author, will speak. Tickets are $50 and the banquet is open to the entire community. Info: Denise Girard at 865-947-5485. Auction items can be dropped off at First Century Bank or Bailey & Co. Real Estate.

Fountain City will light the community Christmas tree at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at the gazebo in Fountain City Park. There will be live seasonal music, hot chocolate and cookies. Santa is expected. The event is co-sponsored by the Fountain City Lions Club and Fountain City Town Hall.

Christmas Home Tour, sponsored by the Halls Crossroads Women’s League, will be Saturday, Dec. 9, beginning and ending at Salem Baptist Church with refreshments served at Salem afterwards. The tour is self-guided from 4-8 p.m. and includes five decorated homes. Tickets are $10 and can be picked up with directions to the homes at Salem on Dec. 9.

Fountain City BPA will present its annual Claude C. Myers award for businessperson of the year at its annual after-hours networking event, 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at Commercial Bank, 5320 N. Broadway. Admission is free for members and guests with prize tickets for $1 and numerous silent auction items. Officers for 2018 will be introduced.
