Powell High School teachers left for the summer with full bellies, thanks to the efforts of Laura Bailey and the Powell Business & Professional Association.
PBPA fed 130 teachers with fried chicken, mashed potatoes, okra, banana pudding and more from Austin’s Steakhouse. “They’ve got great food,” said Bailey.
Of course, she brought husband Larry and a crew from Bailey & Co. Real Estate to help with the serving and cleanup. PBPA members donated 28 gifts which were given away through a random drawing.
Several retirees rounded out the group in the PHS cafeteria. It was a fine summer send-off.
