Random Acts of Flowers is a Knoxville-based organization that has expanded into other cities since its founding in 2008 by Larsen Jay. In July 2007, Jay was in a near-fatal accident. While hospitalized, he saw the power of floral arrangements and encouragement from friends in helping him through recovery and rehab.

Former RAF Knoxville board member Cecil Scarborough, who now serves as co-chair of the Perennial Society, talking with new program director Mandie Beeler.

He started recycling his flowers to other patients, delivering them from his wheelchair. By December 2015, RAF had delivered 100,000 bouquets. The volunteers hope to hit 200,000 this year.

Volunteers are always needed, as are vases and floral supplies.
