Farragut Food Fest plays weather roulette

It rained. It stopped. It threatened. And then rained a little more at the Farragut Food and Wine Festival, held on the lawn of Renaissance Farragut in early May. Tents were up, so vendors and guests could get away from the sprinkles, but the evening was just a bit damp.

Steve Krempasky, Farragut Business Alliance executive director, said the festival welcomed more than 400 attendees this year. Seasons Innovative Bar and Grill took home the Best of Taste award.

The VIB (Very Important Bites) tent was decked out with wine-bottle centerpieces and individual decorated cakes.

With vendors serving a wide variety of tasty treats and adult beverages flowing, the guests didn’t seem to mind the weather. Serving the guests were Mario’s Pizza & Grill, The Shrimp Dock, The Cutting Edge Classroom, First Watch, Dickey’s Barbeque Pit, The Juice Bar, Newks, Costco, Seasons, Restaurant Linderhof, Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop, Don Delphi’s Pancakes & Restaurant, Water Into Wine, Longhorn Steakhouse, VG’s Bakery, Steve’s Kitchen, Full Service BBQ, Bonefish Grill, Courtyard Marriott, The Casual Pint, Mind Yer P’s & Q’s, Morrison’s and Cru.
