The Fountain City Business and Professional Association hosted some special guests above and beyond their keynote speaker Aug. 9. Central High School principal Michael Reynolds spoke to the group about efforts at Central and the Central feeder schools to maintain high community spirit and academic achievement.

He said all Fountain City’s schools are adopting the “Fountain City Strong” motto, and he asked business leaders to do the same.

“It’s an honor to be here,” said Reynolds. “We want you to get fired up like we are and establish a strong sense of community. We believe a strong school system brings about a healthy community.”

At the end of the meeting, Central High’s choral director Matt Parks led the Bobcat Company choir in the school’s alma mater, followed by a special ensemble a cappella performance that you can see on our Facebook page.
