  • Car seat inspection, sponsored by the Knoxville Police Department, will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 917 E. Fifth Ave. The inspection is free and appointments are not necessary.
  • Knox County’s Second Saturday Concert series concludes this month with 1980s era classics from Vinyl Tap at The Cove and blues-based tunes from Crawdaddy Jones at New Harvest Park. The live entertainment, which is free and open to the public, runs from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12, at each location.
  • Football Kickoff 2017, a fundraiser for Goodwill Foundation of Knoxville, is set for 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, at the Lauricella Center inside Neyland Stadium. The event will be catered by Citico’s Restaurant at Windriver and participants will have access to the locker room, media center and sidelines of Shields-Watkins Field. Tickets are $100.   • Fun with Farragut’s Fleet, a chance for kids to get up close to big equipment used by the town of Farragut and Knox County, will be held this year at McFee Park, 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19.
