  • Back to School Bash, sponsored by Mayor Tim Burchett, will be 3-6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, at Knoxville Expo Center, 5441 Clinton Hwy. The free event is an opportunity for students to get free school supplies, health screenings and more.
  • Football Kickoff 2017, a fundraiser for Goodwill Foundation of Knoxville, is set for 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, at the Lauricella Center inside Neyland Stadium. The event will be catered by Citico’s Restaurant at Windriver and participants will have access to the locker room, media center and sidelines of Shields-Watkins Field. Tickets are $100.   • History Hound Dog costume contest will be a feature event of the East Tennessee History Fair, 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at Krutch Park in Downtown Knoxville.   • Fun with Farragut’s Fleet, a chance for kids to get up close to big equipment used by the town of Farragut and Knox County, will be held this year at McFee Park, 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19.
