First Tennessee was ranked No. 5 among U.S. banks with the best reputations. The ranking was by americanbanker.com/. First Tennessee ranked second on the list of most reputable banks among customers and sixth among non-customers.
Knoxville’s Finance Department has been recognized for transparency and clear communication of its annual financial reporting for the 31st consecutive year. The recognition came from the Government Finance Officers Association.
Back to School Bash, sponsored by Mayor Tim Burchett, will be 3-6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, at Knoxville Expo Center, 5441 Clinton Hwy. The free event is an opportunity for students to get free school supplies, health screenings and more.
