  • Northwest Knox Business & Professional Association will meet at noon Thursday, May 18, at the Karns Senior Center. State Farm agency owner Sage Kohler will discuss business insurance. Lunch is $5 and will be provided by Chen Garden.
  • East Tennessee Technology Access Center will host an open house 4-6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 18, at 116 Childress Street in South Knoxville. This event is free and is open to people of all ages and abilities. Director is Mary Thom Adams.
  • Recode Knoxville: The first discussion is set for 6 p.m. Thursday, May 18, at Central United Methodist Church, 201 Third Ave. MPC is assisted by Camiros, a consulting firm which will also present information.
  • North Precinct, Knox County Sheriff’s Office, will host an open house 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, Crossroads Centre near Rural King. Come meet North Precinct Lt. Jim Wright, see special units on display including the helicopter, and enjoy free hot dogs and drinks. All are invited.
  • Open Streets Knoxville will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday, May 21, on Magnolia Avenue between Randolph and Chestnut streets. Mayor Madeline Rogero will stop by.
